Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza - Overview

Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza is a great party game. It is easy to learn and fast-paced, meaning you’ll get very competitive quickly. This game requires memory, speed, and a steady hand. The action cards are lots of fun and guaranteed to have your family or guests laughing as you try to quickly follow their instructions.

We were first introduced to this game at a game night with some people we didn’t know very well. It made for a great ice-breaker and quickly brought laughs to the group. Since that night, we have acquired our own copy of Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza and have had just as much fun playing it with our own family.

Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza - Expansion Packs/Editions

We have only played the original version of the game ourselves but if you are looking for something a bit different then we have put together a list of all the expansion packs available. These include:

VersionDescription
Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza On the Flip Side + Expansion PackSimilar to the original version, players recite the sequence and slap the deck on matching cards/words while completing actions. This edition introduces Flip Side cards. If a reversed Flip Side card is played and the matching word is spoken, players must slap the BACK of their hands on the pile. Flip Side special cards require players to perform the action, then slap the back of their hand. Special actions include: Moose (make antler horns), Flapjack (clap twice), Panda (rub belly).
Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza PoolsideA waterproof version so you can play by the pool or at the beach.
Wild, Wild TacoFeatures more of the special action cards plus new characters. In this version, the Taco is wild while specials are not… unless two are played in a row. Players say “Wild, Wild, Taco!” while flipping cards. When cards match, everyone performs the action and races to slap the pile. First player to get rid of all cards wins.
Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza Ridiculously LargeA giant-sized version of the game for bigger and more chaotic fun.

Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza - Honest Review

We have really enjoyed playing this game and getting competitive with my friends, colleagues and especially our families as well. What we love most about this game is that it is easy to learn and fast to play, but still requires everyone to pay attention. We found that this makes it a great game to play when we want to make sure that everyone can be involved. This is definitely a popular game at our regular game night, which we pull out often.

If we were to look at some of the downsides of this game, we found that it can be a hard game for people who have slower reflexes. If people are more attentive in this game or simply have quicker reflexes, then the downside of this game is that you can just end up with the same people collecting all the cards every time, which does make it less enjoyable for them. If you are playing with young children or want to take this into consideration, then you could maybe think of giving these people fewer cards to begin with, so that it is more competitive. Think of it sort of like a handicap in golf!

Warning that playing this game can hurt! We guess this is a good thing that people are getting involved, but if they are wearing rings and hit your hand the wrong way, it can really hurt. We recommend that people remove any jewellery so that gameplay can continue without too many complaints. Those who are stronger than others, or if you are playing with kids, might need to be self-aware and not slap the table too hard when a match is found!

The regular version of this game comes in what we would definitely define as a travel-friendly size box, so you can easily take it with you. In our opinion, the game has some nice artwork and feels high quality with a nice magnetic closing box and quality cards. You can typically pick this game up for $15-20 dollars in Australia, which makes it a pretty decent value for money. Overall, this is a great game for people of all ages!
